Sketch #84 12x12"

HAPPY NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY WEEKEND!!! I hope all of you guys have planned to set aside some time to work on your scrapbooks. It is a holiday afterall! My Disney Scrappers site is going to be having some extra fun challenges so I created 4 sketches just for them and I thought I would share with all of you too. So there will be 4 NEW Sketches posted today to inspire your weekend layouts.

Here is the shape I used in case you want to use it, but you can certainly get the same effect with any shape that is about that size.

For my example I used a combination of DCWV Safari Stack, and Bo Bunny's Zoology. Love both collections because they are so perfect for zoo and Animal Kingdom layouts. The sketch shows a 4x6" photo but I used a 5x7" and easily you could make two 4x6" photos work in that spot.

Now I don't have girls but I just want to borrow Nancy's so I can copy this amazing page that she did. How cute is this!!! Love this sketch for a princess layout! Visit Nancy's Blog here.

Michelle Powell did this totally tropical Typhoon Lagoon page and now I want to pull out my photos and do the same thing with this sketch!

this one was fun and made me think of legos, but of course you could use squares, circles, diamonds...whatever shape you want. I used Echo Parks Sweet Summertime Collection.

Pam used soft blue and yellow for this super cute 8.5 x 11" Donald layout. I love all the different looks with these different paper pieces.

I really enjoyed doing this sketch, but I wish I hadn't used the light cardstock background. I just love this October Afternoon "Sasparilla" collection, it's just the most perfect collection for Frontierland :)

For my example I used this fantastic new Echo Park mini collection "Melody of Life". I just love this paper for my sons' concerts and things. Now I used a 4x6 photo but this is a great sketch for those oversized photos like 5x7" or even two 4x6"s. For close up photos and details, visit my blog HERE.

I just see her pages and want them to be sketches and she very kindly agrees. Thanks Madeline!!! One more sketch today. This time with two landscape photos. I know many of you would like to see more 2 and 3 photo layouts.

and here is my example. I made the circle design into a sunshine and used some clouds for the star elements.

Todays Sketch is a bit of a cheat. My good friend Madeline Fox created this gorgeous layout using the Be Amazing Kit from Scraptastic Club and I loved it sooooo much that I asked if I could make a sketch based on the page. She was kind enough to say yes so you guys will get to give it a go. I know I will!

Printable Sketches!

You have been asking and I finally did it! I put together sketches on 8.5x11" pages for you to print out. Each page has 6 of the 12x12" sketches. Over here on the right column of my blog, you will find three links to the download the PDF printable sketches. One note... since I wanted to print them on heavy weight paper for my own use, I formatted them so that they can be printed front and back and the sketch numbers will be on the outside edge of the page. Of course, you don't have to print them that way. Hopefully I will get the 2 pagers done soon for you.

I have a fun sketch for you guys today. I had seen so many banner, circle, and heart pages so I kind of put them together in one. I have an example layout but I am saving it for a blog hop so you will see it soon. ;)
